Hypnosis for weight loss is fast becoming a popular avenue for those of us tired of trying the latest fad diet, only to fall flat on our face with failure when we just can’t stick to their strict regime.
If you have never tried hypnosis to lose weight, or your only experience has been watching a famous Hypnotist ‘convince‘ someone to bark like a dog on command, then you are possibly missing something that could make a difference in your weight loss endeavours.
There are various options to lose weight with hypnosis from just a free 20 minute trance on YouTube to a Hypno Gastric Band costing into the hundreds and like with anything, it is advisable to research extensively when looking for a Hypnotherapist and try and obtain some good reviews first.
All Hypnotherapists will let you have a free consultation first so you can see if it is for you, but I would recommend instead, to take that time to study the therapist and see if you feel comfortable with them. The most important part of ‘going under’ is that you are totally relaxed and if you’re feeling uneasy in the environment or with the person performing the hypnosis, you are not going to get the full benefit from it. I would also advise not to have the session in the Therapist’s home, although many do work from home, see if they can come to your house instead. I have made the mistake of going to a Therapist’s home and although he was really nice and I felt totally at ease with him when fully alert, it was a different matter entirely when I became relaxed and hypnotised; my mind started to conjure up all sorts of uneasy situations. Needless to say I did not return!
